Join Kellogg ’92 alumnae Gieriet Bowen (@gieriet) and Kendra Olvany (@kendraolvany) to learn about Twitter and how you can apply it in your professional and personal lives. In this session, you will be introduced to Twitter basics and discover how and why you might use this social platform to:
- Find new customers and reach new audiences
- Raise brand awareness and engage with your customers
- Help in your job search
- Conduct research on topics in your industry
- Build relationships and have real conversations
- Establish yourself (or your company) as a thought leader
- “Attend” conferences virtually
Gieriet and Kendra will also demonstrate and share case studies including how each of them has been successful reaching new audiences using Twitter.

Gieriet Bowen is a tech and start-up enthusiast with experience in ecommerce, sales/rapid scaling, and consulting. Along with Kendra, she is Co-Founder of Up n Running, (‘technology is moving so quickly-let’s learn together’). Over the past two years, Gieriet and Kendra have helped hundreds of clients get “up and running” with confidence on Twitter.
Kendra Olvany has worked in sales and marketing within the financial services and travel industries, and is passionate about building communities through social media. She is a graduate of Williams College and The Starter League, and a Co-Founder of The Licorice Project.
